I'm legitimately disappointed in you guys. I assumed everyone knew it was fake but it seems as if that's not the case. You guys are usually good at spotting this stuff (Anyways it says Issue 1 of the paper, the article is written like a satire, if you read any other page on the site its even more confirmed) smh
unless you are pretending and you just bamboozled me
I was hoping that we found another Jap hiding in the Pacific, not some bogus story. I am disappoint.

Edited by BannedFroggert: 5/21/2014 3:28:26 AM
Most significantly, Authorities are reviewing a 1968 police report filed by teenagers alleging they had been abducted and water-boarded by “some Asian-looking military dude”; a report that was dismissed by Police at the time as “ridiculous”, and coming from “long-haired hippy-types who smelled of reefer”.
This is great XD Edit: was water-boarding even a thing back then? I already knew this was fake, but the writer might've slipped up there.

How the -blam!- did he end up in the U.S?
-
If they'd have said they'd found him on some remote island in the Pacific, I'd believe it.
-
It's not that it's fake, it's that we want to believe it's real. So, against evidence, I'm going to assume it's real until I decide to assume otherwise
-
There's no way this is real.
staff librarians at Loutit District Library have been put to work using Google-Translate in an effort to decipher the confiscated notes and journals

Google-Translate
>using google translate >ever OT: That guy wins the award for biggest mind-blam!- ever. How did he avoid capture for 70 years and why was he sent over here in the first place if he doesn't speak English?

thats chill
Best hide and seek player ever.
No. Not never. I take issue with this. My hiding abilities far surpasses 9000.
-
This is fake As soon as they said they were using Google translate
-
Why was he sent to conduct espionage on the US mainland without the ability to understand English?

Edited by CND AAA Beef: 5/21/2014 2:45:37 AMThis isn't the first time this sort of thing has happened with Japanese soldiers. A soldier marooned on a Pacific island was doing the same thing. The Japanese government had to track down his (now retired) commanding officer and have him verbally order the soldier to surrender because he didn't believe the war had ended and would only accept orders from his commander. The last two paragraphs made me lol. Makes you wonder how many other lost soldiers are out there that didn't get the memo.

Where is this that there are so little to no "Asian" speakers around that someone from LA had to go to them.

Congratulations to the man though for successfully carrying out his mission for seventy years and never being discovered. I hope he got/gets sufficient benefits for his service.
-
70 years of spying and he never got caught? Guess doing things the old fashioned way works pretty well still.
-
70 years of espionage and he couldn't figure out that WWII was long since finished? ~,~` Also I'm surprised the didn't shoot the old guy on sight for carrying a gun like they do to every old person with a weapon.
-
did he just not pay attention to the news for 70 years
-
Well I guess Anne frank is no longer the best hide and seek player
-
Is this for real?
-
What was he doing in Michigan? Anyway this guys a badass. Kept fighting for 70 years? That's dedication.
