Get an I5 processor and then get a r9 280 or 290

Unless you're recording, editing, and uploading large file sizes in high resolution than you don't need an i7. Go with an i5, it's cheaper. than use whatever money you save on getting a better GPU and you might want to go for a lower audio. I don't see you needing all of this stuff...

Ditch the audio card.

You don't really need an i7 in a gaming rig. I'd go with a cheaper i5, then use the saved cash to upgrade your GPU. 8GB of RAM @1600MHz is more than enough. 16GB@1866MHz is overkill is all you're doing is gaming.

Edited by rocketFox: 5/19/2014 10:47:15 PM1. You don't need an i7 for gaming, its the wrong sort of tech. An i5 is plenty. 2. I'd consider getting a small ssd for your OS install and then have your big platter drive for storing your big files. It'll run a lot faster, boot times, loading times.

-blam!-ing hell! A 4820K with a R9 270! That's terribly unbalanced!
