I don't want to get into the details. Picture putting all of your guns and ammunition, magazines, etc.. - on a boat. Because you need to get from point A to point B, and at the time - using a boat makes the most sense.
Now jump ahead to the end of the sad saga, when all your precious, totally legal firearms just fall into the river.

The only reason that I ask is that I've heard of similar incidents and the firearms were later found by the previous owner in containers like in the pic, buried underground. It was like a miracle.
