Just to get a feel with the community's thoughts on tabletop gaming (the gaming you did before the bright pixelated glory of video games) and, particularly, miniature wargaming. I know we have some spell slingers who love Magic the Gathering, but what about those who love crafting their massive armies to do glorious battle with another? Where dice decide the fate of men, and a single model with colors painted upon his/her grim visage could, in fact, cause your dice to roll better?
I know of several games of this sort, but those close to my heart are Warhammer, and its' sci-fi brother, Warhammer: 40,000. I run an army in both, Warriors of Chaos for Warhammer and the fierce Space Marine Chapter: Space Wolves. For those that have their own army/ies what force have you chosen?
For those that care, I have started a group for those like minded gamers who love to roll dice and watch vanquished foes remove their miniatures from the field of battle as fallen foes. The group is called Space Wolves and will feature miniature wargaming as well as video gaming events. Come join the Carnage here.

I was going to get Space Wolves when I was more interested in the game/lore, but then I realized I'd never use them and they cost a lot.

I haven't played warhammer for about 15 years. I still have a copy of the 40k rogue trader rules and the warhammer fantasy role play.

I can't deny that I always have an interest in Warhammer and other tabletop games, but most of the time the reality I have to face is that I don't have the time/money/number of friends for it.

I enjoy a good round of D&D, BattleTech/Mechwarrior, and still maintain my decks as well as occasionally building new ones from the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise. Gotta love my Karakuri ^-^

Funny you bring up 40K. I was reading the Destiny Wiki at work, and Necrons kept coming to mind when I was reading about the Vex. (At least in their flavor).
