Back like they should have in the early 1990s after co-developing what would eventually become the PlayStation( codename "The Triforce", not the other triforce system) before falling out and quitting the project.
what do you think would happen? because CLICK THIS, in the early 1990s they eventually worked on what would become the playstation platform but fell out over who got games and format rights and money leading to the Phillips-Nintendo CD-i failure and Sony removing nintendo from the playstation.

Why such a shitty company dough? :/

Edited by nao: 5/6/2014 2:07:32 AMOn the one hand it'd be awesome having all my favorite games on one console, and would save me from buying two. On the other hand that's less competition driving innovation, and just leaves two console makers holding up the industry. One of them goes down that's a monopoly until some one new jumps in.(apple, google, etc.) not good. I do wonder from time to time what it'd be like if they had teamed up in the 90s though
a lot of people ITT don't understand what hypothetical means
I've always thought about what would've happened if the partnership remained...

I don't think you understand that Sony is not buying anybody anytime soon. Their financial situation is in the gutter right now. Despite the Wii U's failure, I would see it as more likely for Nintendo to buy Sony then the other way around. A simple merge would not happen unless they both benefited from it in a major way.
-
I would take the sellout part of the title out so prior actually discuss this. Anyway if they merged... Oh my. Legend of Zelda in stunning HD Pokemon sack boys Don't even get me started on the new smash bros! Sony could ditch the vita and 3ds would basically monopolize the handheld industry (even though it basically already does) PS+ accounts instead of a million friend codes It would be glorious

Just going to say it would probably be the other way around... Sony is pretty content with selling off areas of their corporation, especially when you factor in the 1.2+ billion dollar loss they are expecting this year. Right now they seem more interested in offering a service package opposed to selling hardware. That and I don't think Nintendo would be willing to spend most (if not all) of the money they have in the bank on acquiring the PlayStation. Well all of the business side of things aside, you could expect the next PlayStation All Stars to truly work like Smash Bros...

Why the hell would Nintendo sellout to sony the wii u was the most successful console of this generation. They made shittons more than the xbox or the playstation 4. If anything nintendo would be the one buying sony lol.
-
So they're gonna pull a Sega?
-
More third party characters in Smash Bros.
-
Sony would instantly collapse after buying a company as large, if not larger, than itself.
-
>implying sony has even close to the amount of money needed for that

No one would respond... Just like your post
