On May 2nd, 1945 the Red Army finally captured Berlin after a month long bloody battle that brought the city and its population to the brink of oblivion. Hitler had already killed himself on April 30th and the last defenders finally surrendered the city to the Russians. 5 Days later Germany would surrender unconditionally to Allied forces, and the Soviets would recognize their surrender on May 9th.

That's what happens when you fight a war on two fronts, and try and invade a nation whom has never successfully be invaded due to it's climate. Also, WW2 Russia was overpowered
