No point in hiding this, but I am straight up stealing this post from G2A on facebook. Anyway, come up with what you think is a good Dark Souls Boss! Here is mine.
Where to start...Dark Souls 2 had a lack of a staged boss, like ornstein and smough. So here is my suggestion.
Mimic King:
You open the fog door, and all there is in the room is a chest. It will obviously be a mimic, so when you defeat it (or get chomped and come back and defeat it), the room (which will be a medium sized room) will expand and the mimic will come back to life but a little bigger and a boss bar.
It will be a standard mimic fight, just harder, using normal mimic moveset from Dark Souls 2 with one extra ability that activates at about 1/3 life remaining. He will do a fake stun when you hit him, and after a second or two, if you hit him again with a melee, will catch the weapon and do some durability damage, while also tossing the player for damage (it should hurt most, but not one shot the weakest).
Once he is defeated, he should then become a perfect mirror or "mimic" of the player, no matter what class they are using. Obviously the stats will be buffed for the mimic, but the fight will play like a mirror match. No special moves or anything, but it will be a pretty decent challenge. If you are using a weapon with a special ability, then the mimic can use it, and if you are using sorceries, the mimic can use those as well.
Finally, once all is said and done, you will get ~30k souls and the Soul of the Mimic King, along with the mimic helm from DS1. You can use the Soul of the Mimic King to get 10K souls or trade for a spell that gives your shield a corrosive effect against weapons that hit it. Beware, the spell slowly erodes your shield as well.
Well, that's my idea. Hope you guys like it!

Maybe some sort of shape shifting enemy. It would start off as one creature, but when its health got low enough, it would shift into something completely different with a unique attack pattern. It would do this maybe three or four times before finally dying. The final form before death would be its "true" form. An enemy like this would turn that whole "pattern" strategy on its head and cause a lot of rage.
