So, all past Star Wars games are now non-canon...

I suppose that makes Darth Revan, Starkiller, and many other characters fan-fiction now, doesn't it? I don't think Lucasfilm thought it all through when the company declared that all past Star Wars games are now non-canon, I mean, what about the games tied around the films such as Rogue Squadron? Are the events in those games now non-canon making the films themselves non-canon? Do we have to wait for the real Star Wars films? Edit: This does give me a great idea for cosplay though :D

 • It doesn't particularly bother me too much, but perhaps I simply lack the same perspective that you guys have. Just because Disney wants more freedom over what was previously a largely unregulated intellectual property doesn't invalidate what made those original stories good in the first place. In a way it's a bit like how comic books have alternate universes right? I'm curious to see how many cues Disney chooses to take from the extended universe and where they choose to diverge. And naturally if I don't like the ultimate product I'll be happy to share my concerns :)
