To be honest, I have played every game that has been mentioned on this list, and they are all amazing to say the least, but my favorite has to be the Kingdom Hearts Series. The story is great and the combat system and weapons are just creative and fun to collect and put to use as well. I was skeptical at first because of the Disney integration, but it worked really well and they ended up making their own story anyways with Organization XIII. Not for everyone, but this was the game that got me into anime as well as final fantasy, so no regrets at all x)
