Being a member of this community for 9 years now, I decided to throw together something different than a birthday thread. This is a general timeline of the major events that occurred in the Bungie Community from Halo reach's prime through the opening announcement of Destiny. This isn't everything, but it's some occasions I'd like to call out.
It was awesome putting this side project together as I was able to dig deep and pull out some fun memories as we can relive them. Check it:

[b]July 7, 2010[/b] - [url=http://halo.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?cid=27228]As Bungie Day[/url], Bungie released a RedVBlue video featuring new armor abilities in Reach along with lighting everyone's head on fire in Halo 3. The Community took this differently as the Halo 3 flaming helmet was "for Bungie Employees only" and speculation began of what's coming "after" Halo.[/quote]

Naturally this sparked discussion. (It's also ironic that this was public 2 years to the date before Destiny was revealed!)

ODST originally launching in 2009, we are already seeing the approximate time frame of Destiny.
[b]July 7, 2011[/b] - [url=https://halo.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=burnbright]Bungie's last "Hoorah" on Halo for Bungie Day[/url]. This day, Bungie released Blue Flames to everyone that played 1 game on Bungie Day (or a couple weeks before starting in June).

[b]July 14, 2011[/b] - Bungie posts their [url=http://halo.bungie.net/news/content.aspx?cid=31904]"One of Seven"[/url] official rules after their recent Bungie Day, which sparked more conversation.
[b]July 28, 2011[/b] - BaghdadBean posts her [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBjlykulawY]unboxing video to the community of her "Bag Of Swag"[/url]. She did receive a "One of Seven" ticket which sparked insanity in the forums.
[b]August 4, 2011[/b] - Originally scheduled for July 2011, Bungie posts [url=http://halo.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?type=topnews&link=obravenewworld]"O, Brave New World"[/url] their farewell to Halo and marks the official start of "The Darkness". The Community began their speculation of "new symbols" that were found in the video on various TShirts and Bungie Swag.
