I have noticed these "false friends" and it irritates me greatly. I mean stop wasting my time and your own and just say what you want already.
And it's sooo obvious. As if it could ever be subtle when someone who hardly speaks to you shows up out of the blue and tries to act incredibly friendly for no reason... but then magically disappears when they get what they were after.
This is a vent. It annoys me.
Do you know anyone like this? Discuss, etcetera

Everyone is sort of that way.

we bangin' or what?

Do I know people like this? Unfortunately, although not for very long. Do I give into what they obviously want? No, I lead them on and then don't give them it. Then they go bother someone else.

I agree. It's irritating when people sugar-coat their true intentions.

So basically every other person alive.

Friends like that? Nope. The hell would you keep people like that around for? My friends have my back, and I have theirs. We're upfront with each other.
-
That's everybody, man. People only associate themselves when they see a benefit.

If you go deep enough into it then everyone is nice because they want something at some level. But yeah, I get where you're coming from. I just tell them to -blam!- off whenever they appear.
