Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.
Situation: met a girl a few weeks ago at a club. Seemed to hit it off so asked for her number, spent a day or two sending the odd text, then organised a meet. Went for a drink with her a few days later, seemed to go well, conversation was flowing, she seemed engaged. Day after the meet, she texts saying she enjoyed it and wanted to do it again sometime. Said I had fun too, and we'd sort something soon.
Gave it a day or two before attempting to organise another meet, cinema and a meal. Cliché but who cares. She was down, but then cancelled the day before for family reasons. I said no worries, we'd catch each other again soon.
Few days later, tried to rearrange. Suggested a film and making a night of it, she said the usual "sounds great". Went with a gut reaction and asked if she was free the next day, she had plans already but asked when I was free. Said I had a few evenings free this week because of not working, asked when she was free so we could sort a day out. Didn't hear back for a day so tried the confident approach of saying a day and what we'd be doing, followed by "you in?"
Took her two days to reply, i.e. the day I'd suggested the second meet, and got a "Sorry honey I've been busy" etc etc etc. She asks how I've been, so I reply unphased that I've been great, been going out with mates of an evening, how've you been? Again, it's now been a day without a reply.
Give up and move on (already at the stage where I'm more fed up than eager when it comes to her replies, but I'd still love to see her again), or sit it out and see if she eventually gets back? I hate the texting game, I really do, but if I were to call I'd spaghetti everywhere and it'd just ruin any chance I had left.
Or should I just say -blam!- it and call, make small talk, then circle around into a meet before I move a few hundred miles away for a month?

Who cares, she's a random chick you picked up I'm having problems with a good friend.

Edited by SP4C3C0WB0Y84: 4/24/2014 8:20:06 PMI think your first mistake was being the one that called her. You should have given her (and some other girls) your number and played off like it was no big deal then wait for them to call you. I say a few because your chances are better when fishing if you cast a few lines around. If they don't call then they aren't interested. Move on. If they do call then you have way more "power" at the start of the relationship and they're more likely to suggest things to you because they want to hang out. But I'm rambling... I think this girl has lost interest and you should cut ties ASAP. Just walk away from it. Who knows, while your out living your life meeting other women she might try to get a hold of you when she notices you aren't chasing her anymore. Then the power is back in your hands. Just some friendly dude advice. :)

I'd say it was a tough one, but she's likely losing/lost interest and just humouring you now. Only way you can be sure is to just try and arrange again and see what happens. I'm shite at this stuff but maybe say something like "Listen here you beautiful broad, I've stood in the middle of the street with my phone taped to my head just to get the best signal waiting for your reply, why are you playing games with my heart?" It's a shit cheesy line I've seen used a few times, sometimes it works, sometimes it's -blam!-ing terrible.

Try calling her. It might not work out because she actually might be busy. That relationship where you can hardly spend time with each other normally doesn't work.
