So my dad has asked me to come up with a list of things to buy for my little brother's computer, he's building it himself/with him (He's worked in IT forever, so that's all fine)
He'd just like a shopping list as such of all the essential components.
The best bang for the buck would be great and the budget is around £400 ($600)
So processors, graphics cards, drives, motherboards and all that good stuff.
If anyone currently has a gaming PC that costs around about that price range, could you share the components list?
He already has a case but it's not essential to use it, it would just allow for more money to be put into the electronic hardware.
Mustard Rice eaters, pls halp meh.

Do you need an operating system?

This should beat the consoles, but I must warn you it has hardly any room for upgrades.

Do you need a OS included in that price range, a monitor?

That's a pretty small budget for a gaming rig, but it can work.

I'd offer to help but my graphics solution alone is twice that. For a budget build most people recommend AMD processors and graphics, but I've always preferred Intel. I'll have to let someone else make the suggestions. You should get a decent enough CPU and GPU combi in-budget though.

Saying $700 is pointless. You can't get $700 worth of parts for £400 because we get charged more for the parts in Britbongland.
