Why do Atheists feel the need to bash everything religion related?
all
What people fail to see, is the fact that this only the vocal minority of said groups.
Most christians are very tolerant towards other people's beliefs. They might not agree with them, but they respect eachother and don't really care about what you believe. Many believe in God, but only take the Bible as a guideline to live their life. (Love your neighbour, give to the poor, be a good person)
Atheists o the other hand, don't believe in God. However, this doesn't mean they have anything against God or religion in general. Not every atheist will try to question every thing you say or believe. Many just don't believe in a God or don't find any escape or salvation by believing. Most Atheists also respect people who believe.
What you see on the news and on the internet are people who either are extremists or people who say things 10x bigger that wha they actually believe.
The everyday theist, doesn't follow the bible step by step, has his own understanding about it and makes up his own opinion.
Just like te everyday atheist, who doesn't think everything in the bible is bad and will also try to live the same good life the bible tells you to live.
I am concerned. Concerned about where this world is going. A world where people attack eachother based on what other people say.
I jist wanted to make this clear.
Most christians are very tolerant towards other people's beliefs.
then why aren't more "normal" christians distancing themselves from the vocal minority and condemning their words and/or actions? when you don't do anything about the problem, it's tacit approval of what they're doing.
