I know that this is exploding on the forums, and doesn't need rehashing, but I thought that Marty's termination was adequate cause for my first OP on the Bungie forums.
I've been a silent but avid fan of Marty's music for years. Halo has always stood apart in my mind, largely thanks to music written by a true composer present in an FPS. A composer myself, my pie-in-the-sky, never-gonna-happen pipe dream has always been to work with Marty at Bungie on the next exciting AAA game. Now that dream has exploded in my face, thanks to some very startling news this morning. I can't be angry, since I don't know the story at all I can't place blame, but I am sad to see Marty go, doubly so because it was not his choice.
I am still looking to a bright future though, as I know Marty's music would fit in with half-a-dozen RPG's that I can think of, and there will be plenty of developers eager to have that auditory excellence on their side. Cheers, Marty. See you in another life.

Amen, mate. I really wish that we could know more about the situation, but I do know that businesses strain relationships, and there could be fault on both sides :/
