By far the best movie I've seen since forever. There wasn't a single slow moment in the film, I was literally on the edge of my damn seat the whole time. I bought that god damn popcorn and barely even ate a quarter of it I was so into the movie lol.
Now for the spoiler discussion:
Mother frackin' Bucky brought some serious ass whoopin' to everybody in the movie. I mean...holy shit. The fight choreography was so good that I believe some of the knife tricks were CG.
I hope you guys go watch the movie, best shit since Iron Man 1.

Easily the best marvel movie. Whoever directed the fight scenes needs to do other marvel movies from now on.
-
Agreed, finally another Marvel movie that stands on its own (like Iron Man 1 and Thor) and major improvement from that god awful Iron Man 3 and the mediocre Thor 2.
HAIL HYDRA
-
Loved it.
-
I agree, a huge step up from the disappointment of Iron Man 3 and the "s'okay, I guess" of Thor: The Dark World.
I couldn't help but look at this as a normal action film until the Nazl supercomputer showed up. That's when I was reminded, "Oh right, I'm watching a comic book movie.".
-
Why didn't Fury and the rest of SHIELD/ HYDRA use the events in The Avengers as the context for building the helicarriers? I feel like "Because we might be invaded by aliens again" is a way better reason than "because terrorists". Couldn't the Avengers themselves handle terrorists just fine on their own anyway? Iron Man 3 actually built on that a little, why didn't this movie continue that theme?
Other than that one weird plot issue, Cap 2 was a great movie. I'd definitely recommend it.
-
I liked the movie, but I thought the Bucky twist was poorly executed. It just felt... Corny.
-
Just came back watching it. Loved every second of it. Fapped at epic action scenes, some parts were just brutal and epic.
-
DC > Marvel
-
can't wait to watch it on friday! seems like the first mcu movie that i'll be able to fully enjoy.
-
>Captain America >Good movie pick one
-
1000x better than the pile of shit that the first was. One if the best Marvel movies IMO.
-
I Loved it too. It was Probably my favorite Marvel movie. What was your favorite part?
I loved the battle scene in the streets where cap finds out about Bucky. It was awesome! So many last second saves.
-
Awesome and Epic. A huge step up from the first movie. I was so surprised at the amount of revelations and the Portrayal of Captain America was arguably the best Superhero portrayal ever.
-
Edited by ScarletSolitaire: 4/15/2014 4:45:20 PMSaw it in the UK day 1 first showing. Having said that, you have a good point. Marvel are pressing all the right buttons, and they won't be stopping anytime soon. Bring on GoTG. Just don't watch Spiderman, FF or X-men lol.

I'm so confused on the Winter Soldier. If he was created by Hydra, then why does he speak Russian, and use soviet tech? Also, why is his file in Russian? Other than that, 9/10. Very solid movie that does Captain America justice. Also turned out to be an interesting commentary on the current state of affairs in the US. Definitely making me think twice on my opinions. Also, it was down right fun for me to watch Captain America fight people because his stats are almost the same as a Spartan-II's.
-
My favourite Marvel movie of all time. And arguably the best representation of a superhero in cinema ever.
-
Certainly a more intelligent fare than usual Marvel blockbusters (primarily the Thors and CA1), but I still prefer The Avengers.
-
Best Marvel movie to date.
Hail Hydra
-
Was the first Marvel movie I've seen, and it was a great movie. Took me a few to figure out the backstory and such, but now I have to go back and see everything else before Avengers 2 in May of next year. Also, Chris Evans is sexy.
-
I watched it in 3D. The best part of the movie was when Scarlett Johansson's ass was in my face.
-
Marvel really stepped up their shit with this one for sure, fantastic movie.
Is the whole story of the winter soldier with Bucky part of the comics? If so, I'm interested to see how they continue to the next Cap. America film, if it happens
-
It was pretty cool except for some of the ridiculous things Cap is able to do and survive without any scratches. He can jump from 100+ feet now and survive with just a roll? I understood the part where his shield saved him, but he only used it on that one occasion and even then, he cringed and was a bit numbed afterwards. What the hell was in that serum anyway?
-
Bump One of the best marvel movies. :>
-
Fun fact: Most of the movie wasn't CGI, because the directors wanted mote of a realistic, non magic feel for it. Besides the helicarriers, and sometimes the background, the one crashing into the building, it was just practical effects. That's why I loved it.
-
I think it flowed almost too well at times. I liked the movie though. I need to re-watch the marvel movies to have a better idea of my personal ranking.
