GameSpy Will Be Effectively Shutting Down On May 31
According to the note, it reads that “effective May 31, 2014, GameSpy will cease providing all hosting services for all games still using GameSpy. Thanks for a great ride!” What this means is that there will hundreds of game titles that will be affected by this closure, but since GameSpy announced that it would stop accepting new games last year, hopefully these companies have prepared themselves for an eventual shutdown

Thats really sad to hear. I loved playing halo PC, it was great to be able to play a full 16 player game on blood gulch. What was even better was rockets CTF on Longest. That was pretty intense stuff right there. And the game has a great online community that will shut down, and that sucks. Maybe Microsoft will pick up the servers or whatever. Halo PC and Halo CE (custom edition) will be missed by many.
