Even if confronting global warming DIDN'T better the economy...
Are we still morally obligated to save the planet?
Note: 'bettering the economy' means more jobs, further advanced technology, less natural disasters and hurricanes, less levees needed to build around cities when sea levels rise, and less oil spills and other man made disasters linked to carbon emissions.

It would certainly be funny to see Congress (And the UK parliament) without the Oil Company money that flows so freely. They might actually be able to do their jobs, without all of that completely unbiased campaign contribution money getting in the way.
