So there's something in a Dark Souls II that I'm a little unclear on, and I was hoping someone could clarify it for me.
When you utilize the dragon head/torso stones are you transforming into an armored dragon, or just a human wearing dragon armor?
In terms of concept and lore, the entire reason I loved the Path of the Dragon in DaSI was because of the fact that you're turning your character into an immortal human-dragon hybrid... Which, quite frankly, is rather badass. The Black Dragon armor set in DaSII is certainly epic, but I personally would feel let down if all I'm getting for my hard work is the appearance of a dragon, as opposed to actually being one.

"The dragon apostles seek transcendence of life itself, attainable by transformation into an ancient dragon. This rite is only one step, but it cannot be reversed until death." Based on the item description for the Dragon items, I'd say you are transforming into a dragon, especially considering you can't take the armor off until you die.

You become a half dragon. Like
Emerald
You become a dragon with armor on (I'm not kidding).
