Coincidental Reccuring Numbers in Life
About the time Halo four dropped I feel like certain numbers related to Halo lore have been frequently popping up in my daily life. The numbers 117 and 343 in particular. I know my subconscious picks up and these numbers making it seem like I encountering them more often, but I just find it odd the number of times I thoughtlessly glance at the clock and the time is exactly 1:17 or 3:43. A few other examples include the mile marker number 343 on the Interstate near my house, half the truck trailers at my work beginning with the numbers 343, and now the mileage on my car.
Have any of y'all experienced a similar phenomenon?

Well what do you know, I pick up my phone and low and behold the time is 1:17, I should probably go to sleep.

My mom said she became somewhat obsessed with the number 11 before 9/11 happened. When she would look at the clock, it would say 11:11, random numbers like how many people could go to this event or that event, she would get room 11 at a hotel etc. It seriously freaked her out and she thought she was literally going insane. Her friends remember her telling them about it. Weird crap. When it finally happened, she realized that 11 symbolized the towers. When the news stations played videos of the towers falling, she saw the number 11 crumbling to the ground.

At first I was a bit concerned but a knowledgeable friend of mine told me not to worry about it.

The number 343 follows me everywhere. I once woke up from a nap at 3:43pm and one time I woke up at 3:43am to take a shit.

Kudos to you for not falling into the numerology trap and acknowledging that while strange, its nothing more than a coincidence and you paying more attention to those specific numbers. You have been able to avoid an irrational bias that most other people who become number obsessed can't seem to get away from.
