I know I for one have been contemplating the story of these Awoken. Unlike the EXO, who have had their story explained to us, I do agree with some of the above posts that perhaps the Awoken's story is going to be told through exploration and discovery of the world. But to do some speculating, Awoken are supposedly Aliens of some kind, and I believe that even that is not confirmed, but their personality is generally Aloof and pretentious. Perhaps the Awoken, were/are A) Survivors, originally humans that had been exposed to much to the Travelers technology, AKA when it sacrificed itself to save mankind at the end of the Golden Age. Or B) From both their name and their Aloof appearance, could it be that they were a race of beings from our solar system that dates back to before us, and had suffered a similar fate? And those that survived have since Awoken? Perhaps they created the Traveler and its sacrifice trigged their awakening. Either way I do look forward to hearing more about it them and finding their true origins.
