Ever since I first heard about Destiny's intense customization, I wondered one thing. I kenw there would be plenty of armor to chose from, emblems to create, with many different styles represented in the game. The thing I wondered about was the color customization. I NEED to be able to change waht color my gear is. If it is locked to a certain color, I will be furious (I'll still spend a large portion of my life playing the game, but still).
By making it possible for players to chose from a large color pallete for each of their armor pieces. This makes certain that no two people will ever be the same. By being able to change the color of your gear, one will be able to make a unique style in all of their armor. If this ability is extended to weapons and vehicles, you could be distinguished by your color scheme alone.
One game (there are countless that do this, but this is the first one off the top of my head) that does an excellent job of this system is.... DCUO. You are able to pick three colors, which are put into three color slots on each piece of your gear. However, what sets this apart from, say Halo 4, is that you can pick which color slot, primary, secondary and tertiary, gets each color, for each piece of armor. So the primary for your mask might be the secondary for your chest piece. This system extended to head, chest, mask, helmet, arms, legs, belt, back, feet, emblems and even weapons.
This wide range of color choices is essential, as it is basically the only reason I played DCUO, which was to create my perfect, color coordinated superhero. I pray that it or something similar is implemented into Destiny.
