I originally got a 20gb pro in 2006. In 2009 it red ringed on me but I sent it in and got it repaired for free.
I got a second one in 2010, a 250gb slim Halo: Reach special edition one. I still have both and they both still work great, though the old one fails to read disk sometimes.
