Mine is a tie between the German Kar98 and the British Enfield.

Edited by THUNDERCHILD: 4/8/2014 4:35:15 PMI've owned both a Lee Enfield No.4 mk1* and a Mauser. The Enfield, with its 10 round detachable box magazine and its super quick and smooth cock-on-close bolt operation is absolutely the superior infantry weapon, while the Mauser, with its 5 shot internal mag and much slower and clunky bolt makes for a decent hunting rifle. The U.S. made Springfield, and as far as I know, most of the other early 20th century, and even modern bolt action rifles are descended from the slower functioning Mauser bolt style. Once you cycle the actions of the different bolt types with your own hands the advantages of the Enfield are obvious.

Edited by CND AAA Beef: 4/7/2014 2:54:47 AMWith Lee Enfield already mentioned, I'll go with the De Lisle Commando Carbine. It was the mutant love child of a Thompson and a SMLE, but it wound up being one of the quietest rifles ever made.

The Arisaka!

Remington 30 30. The Army screwed this one up by not recommending it as a sniper because of a surplus of old smoke powder rounds. Much better rifle than the Springfield.
i saw it!
I would have to agree with you on those 2.

GIFs are my weapon of choice.

I'll list them M1903 Springfield. America's finest bolt action rifle. Mauser 98K. Beautiful rifle with a shit tonne of history. Did you know that Springfield had to pay royalties to Mauser for each '03 they produced through World War 1? Lee Enfield No.1. What is not to love about a 10 round magazine with one of the easiest bolts to work? Swiss K31. Sexy as fuck straight pull design. Did not see combat Finnish M28. Captured Mosin Nagants fitted out to Finnish rifle standards. Some of the most beautiful, accurate rifles ever chambered in 7.62x54r

I'll have to say the Lee-Enfield, at least compared to the Kar 98k, due to it being magazine fed as compared to the Karabiner requiring each bullet to be individually loaded. although I'm kinda biased based on the fact that it was a British weapon if I'm honest, thats were most of my choice is coming from!

Kar98 or Mosin Nagant. A lot of Russians died by Mosin Nagant also in the hands of Simo Häyhä and likes my granddad.
