Should I abandon the Cape And Cowl?
And by this, I mean should I reveal my identity, and simply continue to fight crime using my original name? I've been considering it for a while.

No. The cape and cowl is a symbol of fear, justice, and vengeance. The anonymity of The Batman is what maintains the fear in the cowardly criminal mind. The symbolic resurgence of the human need to fight injustice and protect the innocent. Besides, to reveal your identity would be to compromise your war on crime. No matter how hard he tries, Wayne cannot hide in Gotham on the streets. He isn't Peter Parker.
