30,000+ people have signed a White House Petition for secession of Alaska from the United States and joining Russia.
This deserves a big fat N for Never gonna happen.
-
I can't help but notice many of the people signing it aren't from Alaska... >_>
-
Does the White House even take these petitions seriously?
-
Yes. Because then Russia can drill Alaska for oil and we can invade our former state for that oil we refused to use in the first place. It's BRILLIANT!
-
Yeah, let's just give Texas back to Mexico while we're at it.
-
How crazy do you have to be to want to join Russia?
-
Alaska would that really worry you
-
How many of those "signatures" do you think we're made by Russian government employees?
-
Well, technically, Alaska did belong to Russia. If Putin could do what he did in South Ossetia and Crimea by flooding in Russian immigrants, I am sure he could annex it too if he wanted.
-
Only problem is that if the White House denies this, Putin will spin it around as proof that ethnic Russians in Alaska are being oppressed and will pull another Crimea.
Semi-joking, but I wouldn't be surprised if RT takes this and runs with it.
-
Out of all the states to leave, Alaska is the last I'm worried about. No offense.
-
LOL. Why would anyone want to join Russia?
-
Could we do this for Florida?
-
But muh hunting!

OP is making a secret message.

Edited by Mad Max: 3/28/2014 1:26:51 AMThere's an "I can see Russia from my house" joke in there somewhere.

-
