So, at what time would you say "How [i]was[/i] your day" instead of "How [i]is[/i] your day"?
I say, about, eh, 9:00 PM?

I just stick to “How’s it goin’”. But if I were to use it, I would say sometime after 17:00, as classes are usually finished by then and my day ends when classes end.

Most of the time I ask/am asked how's your day which I just sort of interpret to whatever depending on what time it is.

I just go for the "How's your day been?" if it's after noon, with "morning" in place of "day" before noon. After about 8, it becomes "night" instead of "day."
