I liked the system of stamina in Skyrim, as it made the player have to use some strategy, in contrast to "spraying and praying." However, I don't really see how this could work for guns, so maybe it could only apply for melee weapons, such as power attacks and parrying... What do you guys think?

Well think of it this way. A super powerful titan with a rocket launcher should not be able to run, let alone run as long as a hunter with a pistol. I am sure some kind of stamina system based on weapon and armor type will be incorporated. Maybe not like Skyrim, but more like a movement speed based on what you are carrying (like the difference in Skyrim between how fast you can move with an empty inventory compared to when you are encumbered).
