The reason that I ask is I have a roommate that has recently decided to be some mean words I won't say. Anyway he along with a couple other guys that agree with him like to keep the place uncomfortably cold, and part of my plan in getting back at them involved disabling the temperature controls last night. So far they only seem to know how to press the buttons on the thermostat, which of course won't do anything when nothing will even turn on. So now I want to know if this kind of thing is normal.

WAFFLES MOTHER-blam!-ERS
-
I like WAFFLES filled with PANCAKES better!!
-
Yes people have no idea what technology does. And I am more of a pancake person
-
Definitely.
-
Oh hell yeah! Waffles!
-
Yes. Using a phone or computer designed to have a user friendly experience doesn't mean they know how things work. This goes for most technology. Like how a person who only drives a car can't repair one.
-
Yes, but just deal with it in a straight up manner. -blam!-ing with the thermostat is the easiest way to enrage someone who likes cold temperatures. You could probably buy a fan heater for $20 and that would warm your room up nicely. If you don't want to ask them about it upfront, just find the simplest solution. Breaking the thermostat will just come back to bite you in the arse later on.

I'm quite the techy, and thermostats are still annoying without a manual.

Why isn't there an option for "Yes. And I also like waffles."?
