Talking about multiplayer, so anyway what gametypes should they have in Destiny, you can make your own ones as well.
I can only think of one that would be popular and that would be CTF or a KOTH variant.
Some sort of Invasion gametype where you can be the enemies you encounter in the campaign although that seems a bit to far fetched now, and they would have given us a hint of some sort.

Edited by Atticus: 3/18/2014 9:17:23 PMGametypes that stand out from the generic crowd (e.g.: Halo did it with Grifball and action sack). I could see a Hunter parcour course where you can use your previously acquired movement abilities to get from point A to B as fast as you can - I'd especially like to see a race from the surface of the moon down to the to dephts of the hellmouth.
You unlock higher Tier-lists by acquiring more abilities. You can still race in lower Tier classes with a high level but certain abilities are not usable so it stays fair. Matchmaking is done primarily by Tier and secondary by skill.
Also 'Titanaut' - Juggernaut with a Titan wielding the most frightening hammer Bungie can ever design.
There's not much to say. I think it would be a nice twist if the 'Titanaut' can use a special skill - like the Fist of Havoc - once after a certain amount of time.
Maybe bounty hunting in the open world too? If a player you met somehow decided to harm you consciously, you can put a bounty on him - depending on the crime the bounty can be raised higher. But here's the clue; there isn't a prompt or any kind of sign that indicates tha somebody may be a criminal. The bounty hunters have to get their information from a blackboard in the city with the criminals listed on it. They can choose one or two bounties to hunt. Now information of the criminal is displayed in the HUD. They have to check and update their information regularly, because the criminals can change armor, weapon and location. If the job is completed successfully the bounty hunters get paid a good chunk of glimmer and gain a decent amount of experience.
The criminal can be uncovered in different ways. For example you can investigate the crime scene and find bullets you can analyse them either by bringing them to weapons merchant/expert or analyse them yourself (your character can tell from which weapon the bullet came from if your character or someone from your squad has used that weapon). After collecting enough information you can talk to the overwatch tower officer/sherrif and tell him about your clues. You can plan a coup on the criminal so he gets captured as soon as he returns to the overwatch tower or - if he is on Earth and outside the city - you can confiscate his spaceship so he unable to flee to other planets. After the criminal is caught, the bounty will be paid from the criminal's wallet. And still there are many open possibilities I have thought about.
