Windows XP is retiring
After 12 years, support for Windows XP will end on April 8, 2014. There will be no more security updates or technical support for the Windows XP operating system. It is very important that customers and partners migrate to a modern operating system such as Windows 8.1. Customers moving to a modern operating system will benefit from dramatically enhanced security, broad device choice for a mobile workforce, higher user productivity, and a lower total cost of ownership through improved management capabilities.
Wow, my first computer software I used since I was a kid is now gone. I must say Windows XP was the best software Microsoft has actually created. A lot of the computers utilize XP and to end support would be a pain. Old news! Btw, running it on my old machine, which has deepfreeze. No I'm not uninstalling it. Just because Microsoft says it's obsolete doesn't mean it truly is. Their just doing this because they want more people to buy Windows 8. The amount of business computers that still run Windows XP to this day is huge. I doubt companies want to switch to 8 anytime soon. I'd say go Linux if you really want to, but that shit isn't easy for business.
