ok, I originally have this account and have had it for 5 years. I recently went register my code for the Destiny beta and created a second account with my psn id and now have two accounts. Is there a way to possibly merge the accounts? or add my psn id to this one without losing my beta code?
I tried to unlink one of the accounts and it said I cant since it was the account it was created with. I don't know what else to try.

Edited by Spawn: 3/7/2014 4:01:23 PMHey there Grim559, This is from one of our support threads: http://www.bungie.net/7_FAQ-on-LinkingUnlinking-Accounts-on-bungienext/en/Forum/Post?id=61167143#referred-Support I have TWO bungie.net accounts, how I do combine my login methods together?
1. Decide on the bungie.net account you're going to use. 2. Login on the "throwaway account" that you're not going to use. 3. You must have at least 2 ways to connect to that throwaway account. If you don't, create a "dummy email" (through http://account.live.com/ or http://us.playstation.com/psn/) and link that to your throwaway bungie.net profile. If you already have an additional method to sign in through, skip ahead. 4. Sign in to your throwaway account through the dummy email, unlink the other account(s) you want to put on your "main" bungie.net account. 5. Sign into your "main" bungie.net account and link the previously "unlinked" account(s) to your main account.
I haven't been here in a while and I just signed in and I was forced to create a NEW bungie.net account. What happened?
When you sign in with a brand new login method to bungie.net, if that login method isn't attached to a profile, you'll be forced to create a new one. If you had an older bungie.net account, you must login through that Microsoft account to gain access to your old profile. From there, you can switch around your account links as you please.
Thanks Spawn, I'm going to try this right now. but will this waste my beta key for destiny? or is that attached to my psn account is the question in this scenario.

SaintD, NobleIronSky, DeeJ, WHERE ARE YOU!?

I'm really worried now. Just read in a couple places that my 5 years as part of the community will matter.

I'm not sure what happens to the beta code in this case (I think it's tied to the b.net account regardless of links). I'm not positive here but I think you should be able to add another contact to your psn linked account (perhaps a google or facebook that you don't use) then unlink the psn account and link up with this one. I don't think the beta code will follow you but I think as long as you can still log into the account that the beta is active on you will get a console code later. If you don't want to risk the possibility of losing it - perhaps wait until after you're in the beta and re-link accounts then using the process listed above.

I haven't any knowledge of if account merging is a thing yet or not. The only thing I can think of is removing the PSN ID from the account switching it to the main one. If the beta key is already activated on your PSN ID it should be fine to switch the PSN ID to a new account. But since I don't have the Destiny Beta I am currently unaware if this would work without losing the code. Someone with more experience should help you with this soon I would hope.
