For those of you who don't know, The Division is an upcoming Tom Clancy game. The game's main focus is Online Multiplayer, RPG Attributes, and an Open world to explore. It also has a story but not much has been released. It is being Developed by Massive Entertainment and Published by Ubisoft. It is due for a 2014 release.
Here is the basic premise of the background information:
A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails.
Fighting to prevent the fall of society, the agents will find themselves caught up in an epic conspiracy, forced to combat not only the effects of a manmade virus, but also the rising threat of those behind it. When everything collapses, your mission begins.
From what I caught in the Video, this game has been in development for Four years. And it has a steadily growing community. But I'm going to stop talking and let the video do it. It's mainly a recap of E3, along with some new info from Gamescom.
To break down the video.
0:00. 11 days before E3 presentation, excitement is in the air, as well as nervousness.
4:25.Fast forward to E3, the moment of truth awaits.
6:29. Next Gen companionship gaming.
8:18. Full Gameplay demo/trailer.
15:30.Brief announcement that the game will be receiving a full PC version.
16:40.Background information on the Universe.
This game means buisness, but there is also a Load of Pressure due to the fact it is a Tom Clancy game, who has recently died. This being said, if it meets the Target for release, it looks like a serious contender for GOTY.
So, with all of this Info now known, what do you guys think? Will The Division be a Hit?Or will it Flop?(Not talking sales wise necessarily.)
It is due to release on all Next Gen consoles(Except for WiiU) and PC.
