Some spoilers if you want to avoid them. Anyway, I was just wondering in my 2nd playthrough, I found out about how you can get 'Dark' Anor Londo and all that, and how it turns out almost all the enemies in Anor Londo are just illusions by Gwyndolin, including those Bat Demon guys like the one I linked.
So I was just wondering, are the ones that carry you from the top of Sen's Fortress illusions too? And how does that work, being carried by an illusion if they are? Or are they just real and I am over thinking it?

You will never be able to comprehend Dark Souls lore.

I believe that they are real. It's been described before that Gywnie juniors sunny Anor Londo is simply an overlapping reality, and when you kill him, the true Anor Londo shifts back into place. For all we know, the image of Anor Londo could even simply be a state earlier in it's own timeline. Time travel and multiple realities is already a thing in Dark Souls, with a few notable individuals being able to bend or reach through them, or even create them, such as Manus, and Ariamus.

I didn't even know people said the enemies were illusions, I only knew Gwynevere was. So who knows.
