This thread was a drunken shitpost and everyone took it seriously I haven't even played Halo 4
-
Inb4 Ordered Coma Inb4 Camnator It was subpar.

Beat campaign, played multiplayer, hit SR130, got bored then and there. Halo is not for me
-
-
Campaign was... interesting. I see where 343 were going, and I actually liked it. The multi-player failed though, it was utterly forgettable. I wished the music came out more too, some of the soundtrack was very good, but was very quiet.
-
Not even close. They took a series known for being... 'Halo' and turned it into a generic Call of Duty title. I think 343 learned that formula doesn't really work to well.

Lol that video keeps popping up
-
Lol that video. It was alright, I enjoyed it enough to not be irritated that I bought it but I wasn't happy enough with it to sing it's praises or to be looking forwards to Halp 5. It wasn't a terrible game, it just wasn't a great one. 'Meh' is about my overall impression of it. Then there was Spops. CRIMSON PRESS THAT BUTTON YOU EGGHEAD. NOW DO THE SAME MISSION 10 TIMES A WEEK FOR A 2GB DOWNLOAD YEAH!

I am laughing SO hard right now
-
Yes I adored halo 4. However please understand this was my first halo game. Following my completion of the halo 4 campaign I played through reach, cea, 3, and 2. I have many memories of halo 4 and wish people didn't hate it so much.

What the -Blam!-
-
First off I'm going to say I didn't watch the video and probably won't, at least not right now. Do I didn't hate halo 4 but I did have some problems with it. I don't like the loadouts. I like being able to start with a battle rifle and dmr and thinks it's cool but I think they should've just been in Spartan ops. I really don't like how they changed the way the covenant look. I don't see why they needed to change all that. Grunts have shark faces, jackals look like velociraprors, and, only occasionally, I have watched a cutscene and thought "that jackals looks normal" then I found out it's an elite. But this had happened only a few times and on the same cutscenes. Some weapons sound really weird, like the pistol. Why does it sound like it has a silencer on? The energy sword sounds weird. It went to "PEWSH" to "pish."

I liked it
-
I liked Halo 4, but I wished it wasn't a Halo game. I hated everything they changed (Chief being a big baby, Prometheans, the whole Forerunner backstory, SPARTAN-IVs, the stupid crotch armor), but I probably wouldn't have minded any of it if it had been part of some new sci-fi series.
-
I certainly enjoyed it, though that doesn't meant it didn't have some serious flaws. The campaign was probably the most emotional story yet, and I loved the characterization of the Chief. One the other hand, the lack of an explanation of the Didact pissed me off, and I didn't really care for the flying section at the start of the last level. Multiplayer wasn't terrible, and it's certainly gotten better, but I'm not a fan of having to unlock loadouts, the heavy integration of custom loadouts, and the lack of gametype variety. Spartan Ops was a fun experiment, but it wasn't, for lack of a better word, experimental enough. Basically, it was too much like a regular Halo campaign, and the missions often became more tedious than engaging and fun. The second half of season 1 was a bit of an improvement, but it still needed to go further. Try out something new, experiment (there's that word again), see what works and what doesn't. Also, make the mini-movies have something more to do with the gameplay sections.

No, I didn't
-
Of course.
-
yes. the creator of that video knows it [and i hope he at least respects it now].
-
well reach was worse so
-
No it was the laughing stock for the competitive halo community.
-
On coop it's still decent but solo campaign was one of the most dull and short experiences I've ever had in a Halo game. I can't speak on competitive multiplayer anymore because I haven't played in months but when I did play, most modes were pretty easy as the other team either always quit or just team killed themselves. Sometimes you'd be on that team too. Spartan Ops brought little to Halo 4 other than those CG cutscenes at the beginning of each week. They should've stuck with Firefight. Overall, it's not outright terrible but it was definitely dull and not memorable at all.

Plain and simple
no
Edited by THUNDERCHILD: 3/1/2014 2:15:28 PMLove it. It's a great example of how a beloved classic, but let's face it, slow aging juggernaut can be tweeked to compete with today's faster paced games while doing a first class job of staying true to its roots, a notable accomplishment considering the new management. The population is strong enough that I've never had trouble finding matches in any game type, even when I had a restricted NAT. The whiners on this site who would have prefered the development of H4 be stagnant are the only ones who have a problem with it, and frankly, like with any other scenario, we're better off without those who refuse to adapt. I don't want to hear any garbage about how it's not "real" Halo because it has new features, by those standards Combat Evolved is the only true Halo. Every installment since CE has added new stuff for us to experiment with, for example, dual-wield, the BR & DMR, aesthetic armor customization, armor locking, sprint, evasion & jet packs just to name a few. So when people say it's not "true" or "real" Halo because of the new stuff that came with this particular iteration of the game what they really mean is its not the expirience they had with Halo 3, and it shouldn't be.

One of the best. Also: wat.
