NOTE: This is NOT a review. That comes later after I have completed the game and all that jazz.

Ok, let me be clear right now. Thief is not as bad as the "reviewers" say it is. This game has been under a butt load of scrutiny since its inception, and probably because its not 100% the original (double standards much). Anywho, Thief on the PS4 (not that it matters) is actually a pretty enjoyable game that does have many flaws. Most notable are things like the first major cutscene looks like its running at sub 20FPS, lip synching is a bit off and reminds me of a Japanese movie, and the inventory system a very clunky mess.
By that I mean, you have to hold the left button on the Dpad, scroll over to the item with the right stick, then hit the corresponding Dpad button that the item requires. Why cant I just wheel over to it, and that be it? The touch pad is the worst by far! TURN THAT OFF!!!! The sensitivity is far to low and its a fight every time just to switch your gear.
For new comers, the game is going to look like a copy of Dishonored which is fair but not really the truth. Its actually the opposite. Being referred to only as The City, it is a highly detailed and atmospheric world that feels really dirty, and riddled with disease. The citizens are now being infected by some kind of virus called "The Gloom", I dont know much about it yet, other than its supposedly makes you relive your nightmares over and over again every night. So suicide is the only option...
The stealth mechanics are nice and smooth. Using the worlds spectacular lighting to your advantage will help you be the ghost you want to be. It is best to be that way, because combat is HIGHLY discouraged. Taking on one or two enemies is fine, but three or more is a death sentence. Throwing bottles, using special arrows will help make you job much easier. You really need to play this game cautiously, because it is not just humans that will give you away. Dogs, and many dreadful birds will give away your position when ever you disturb their slumber.
Everything is working pretty nicely so far in this game. It still needed more polishing and the UI needs and overhaul, but so far it is better than the "reviewers" are making it out to be. I see it becoming one of the most underrated games of the year.

I heard some bad comments about horrendous AI, extremely linear level design, token tools for token puzzles, downgrade in sound detection and the fact that the Master Thief is apparently just another bloke on another episode of Hoarders.
