Any good gaming fail stories?
So recently today I was playing Bioshock infinite, right about to finish the game, when Booker (the guy you play as) said "Something is wrong". Then my TV died leaving me confused as my controller was informing me that something was going on but all that I could see was a black screen where my game used to be displayed. In the end, I had to turn off my console even though I didn't know where I was or if I were saving.
How about you guys though? Did you ever have any moments that in gaming that ruined your day? Made you give up on a game? Or just make you laugh?

1 ReplyMy first and only Dark Souls invasion. It was in Sen's Fortress. I was resting at a bonfire checking my gear and whatnot for the boss fight, and then my guy stood up and I couldn't sit back down. "What? Why can't I use the bon-" [b][Insert gamertag] has invaded. [/b] MFW^ I start looking for the guy, looping around and ending up back at the bonfire. I hop down to a passageway with pressure plates behind it, and head towards the opening to the outside. The invader turns around the corner and we both hit each other. I get scared and quickly retreat down the passageway, stepping on the pressure plate and triggering the arrow trap which hits my exposed back, killing me ._.

My face when I'd been breeding for 13+ hours on Pokemon X and I accidentally close the game when I went home and lost my shiny Lucario with 5 perfect IV's.

1 ReplyShould start on mine, but if not it's at 3:45 in the video. I was playing a game of Arena Slayer with some friends. My friend was getting assassinated by an opponent. But suddenly, it's an assassination/suicide, and that's not even the funniest part. No, as I'm watching everything unfold from the middle of the map, I see another member of the red team get launched off the map at an incredible speed. Still no idea what the hell happened (other than the obvious: game glitched up on the geometry, possibly combined with the "explosive" effects of confetti using Grunt Birthday Party), but lols were had, recordings were made, and someone finally put something I filmed into a montage. Great day, all around.

1 ReplyOnce while playing Halo: Reach I destroyed an enemy banshee at the top of the Spire and then the wreckage crashed down on my teamate. It said I betrayed someone and I was promptly booted.

4 RepliesMy most recent epic fail was playing on a hardcore gametype in BF4, I tossed an M67 grenade and then 4 of my teammates walked right into it. (they didn't have enough time to run away and were in the middle of a firefight). "sorry gais"

This one time in Reach I ran games with BTB team Sudden Death, who comprised of people from all four corners of the earth and played through smartphone WiFi, spawned on top of a guy and insisted a coin toss for every death. The next round the foreigners Internets were of course vastly superior to mine that it even allowed the vehicles drive themselves. Just an average everyday normal session. We smoked some good stuff back then duuuude.

Edited by thefartassassin: 2/28/2014 10:21:23 PMMy friends and I were playing bf4 Shanghai on top of the building, and than a chopper started gunning us down one by one, we didn't have any engineers, (stupid I know) in the end it was me as a recon and my friend louis as a medic, so he comes straight at us, I have to time to aim and fire one shot. So I take my 338-Recon and shoot, I get a kill, me and louis cheered we thought we killed the pilot and that our troubles were over, turns out I killed the co-pilot, we figured that out when it kept charging at us and gunned us both down. In the end I am known as the biggest derp of Recon there has ever been by my friends, but it is my favorite class still, we all had a good laugh.

5 RepliesI was having a perfect game in BF4, 22-0 on Golmud Domination. Then in the literal last 2 seconds of the round, my teammates ran off leaving my back exposed to some banzaiing chode yodeller. That knife ruined my day >:( It was mildly amusing though, just from the sheer 'Only in Battlefield' irony.
