I decided to make a new thread for this.
Halo Waypoint was developed by 343 Industries to be known as the central hub of Halo, and welcome in the existing Halo community once maintained by Bungie. However, for years now despite 343i's admirable attempts to be accessible with their games, the Halo Waypoint website and forums are anything but that. Extremely stringent moderation, the eyesore that is the layout, and a lack of intriguing and alluring content are what make Halo Waypoint inaccessible to the large majority of the Halo community.
By signing this petition, you are asking that Halo Waypoint be reformed in the following ways:
*significantly more-lenient moderation policies
*the relinquishment of all permanent bans up to this point
*the recognition of feedback to make Halo Waypoint visually more engaging
*more appealing front-page content posts
More "optional" requests include:
*allowing "forum culture" to develop (usually comes with lenient moderation)
*creating an off-topic forum
*stopping the excessive usage of Silverlight
By implementing these things, Halo Waypoint will thrive with activity, and its notorious reputation within the Halo nation will cease to exist. Whether or not you like 343 Industries or their games, you love Halo, and by signing this petition, you can tell Halo Waypoint and its administrators that you want reform for the sake of the community at large.
You can sign this without publicly-displaying any information, and I made sure to use the best contact information to whom we are petitioning as possible.

Literally how mods moderate on waypoint, swingin' the ban hammer
-
but still lol.
-
Inb4ban Waypoints forums are kind of a lost cause and they don't give a literal shit that everybody hates it there, except for the dickriders of course. Just join the next best thing which is Halo Archive. All your Halo needs can and will be found there.
-
Shouldn't you post this on their forums?
-
Why do we even go there? Nothing's going to change. Halo 4 blows ass. Halo 5's going to blow ass. It's like reading a My Little Pony thread. Full of pompous retards unable to formulate a simple thought without turning one sentence into a five paragraph essay.
-
Signed. The Halo Community deserves better. Sweeping criticism under the rug, constructive or not, is no way to get fans to love you. Thankfully Bungie understands this and embraces criticism.
-
343i is a bad company, and it shouldn't have my support to change things they will not. You might get a bann for this you know... knowing them you might.
-
I could see it if it was all people who frequented Waypoint, but I don't think 343i or it's mods would care that a bunch of Bungie members signed a petition to try and change their website because they think it's "unfair".
-
-blam!- yes. Hell, I'd be happy for a site that has less silver light. That alone would get me to go back there.
-
It won't work.
-
Or stop geting banned
-
How many people still frequent Waypoint? 20? Lol. Fuck Waypoint. The site's a lost cause. It's not like 343idiocy even pays any attention to the feedback posted on there. Besides, nothing's going to change if bullshit angel continues to let the mods run rampant.
-
I don't even use waypoint. I read books, and then use this thing-- I don't know if I should explain it to you, it's really complicated.... I use this thing called--called-!!-- a brain! There. I said it. You should try it someday.

You are seriously making a petition with extremely few followers to change a private website that you deserve no control over and accept the restrictions to your rights after signing up? wat
-
Edited by cxkxr: 2/25/2014 6:56:52 AMYou might as well send the petition to the White House. bc even if it got over 100,000 signatures, they won't listen.
-
Yeah, good luck with that.
-
-
How about starting a petition for something useful like cleaner water in Haiti or something. Signing a petition for a website is Fn stupid
-
Signed ex ts 49.
-
Signed that shyat.

Meh. If you're a hardcore Halo fan you'll be on Neogaf, Waypoint is just a dead weight full* of people who think they are on the right forum. * empty
-
Hey guys look, I found a live feed of the Halo Waypoint administration prossess
-
They would never remove all the perma bans. Too prideful to accept all the mistakes they've made.
-
That 404 not found looks like its going to make some amazing changes.
