i mean really he's the one who brunt them to us & probably eating off our energy vibe.

Edited by Klushots: 3/24/2014 9:55:11 PMI feel that with all these recent games, shows, movies, etc. wherein it turns out that the thing/person people thought was good was actually the Big Bad pulling strings from behind the scenes the entire time ZOMG!, it would actually be more refreshing (not to mention unexpected) for the good guys to actually be the good guys. SHOCK AND HORROR! RIOTING IN THE STREETS! BABIES MAKING BABIES! WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO?!?!?

I don't care about the traveler. It won't be the focus of the first destiny installment. Its a 10yr project. No way it'll be explained at the start. More so there to build base of the Lore and mystery for intrigue. Sure I'll learn more to come then I'll give a **** about 'its' story. But I think focusing on it or even suggesting a twist or DLC is silly... As if they haven't considered any of that when developing the game. The traveler wasn't just slapped in as the symbol for the game with no back story set in stone.

#oblivion

Maybe it's Optimus Prime, disguised as a ball.
-
Or maybe it's inside the traveller and is feeding off of it. I mean really, it's a giant terraforming thing and it still hasn't healed after whatever happened. Then the one time the guardians can actually enter the city they have to fight against the darkness.... oh god I hate that word "the darkness" it's too cheesy.

Edited by eurasianbro: 3/24/2014 6:59:00 AMIt might be the case, Bungie did that with the Forerunners in CE (being reclaimers doesn't mean humanity wasn't a target). Plot-wise, the mentor/antagonist twist has become cliche. Then again, Bungie also echoed themes from Marathon in Halo so I wouldn't be surprised if they did it again.

Another stupid villain. "Why didn't you kill us when we were weak instead of making us legends first?" Traveler:"herp derp die"
-
Not likely, the traveler appears as a ship/space craft of some sort. Perhaps there is an alien species inside of it that is some sort of deep sleep, like Cyro sleep from Halo. They are gonna be pissed...

SPOILERS
-
I call the stupidest post ever if the traveler was a bad guy we wouldn't be alive
-
*brought them
-
I foresee several possible plot twists. 1. The traveler subjugated humanity and kept it enslaved, and the darkness liberated humanity and kiled the traveler. 2. The traveler promised the solar system to the other races devastated by the darkness, this would make it both a villain and a hero from certain perspectives. 3. The traveler absorbs the souls of those who die, and what it spits back out after stealing from it what it needs... becomes the darkness.
-
And the darkness is actually the good guy.
-
The traveler is actually the Didact.
-
Edited by Master Kaio: 2/22/2014 3:32:32 AMNa what is more likely is the traveler is holding the darkness in side it self, a last effort to hold it back and give mankind time to regroup. at the end killing the both of them is the only way to save humanity.

Bump
And I take part in calling this twist too
DundunDUN
-
He brunt them to us. lolwut
-
I don't think so since he gave his life for us
-
I think it would definitely interfere with the plot and they already made it clear the traveler was an ally
-
Dude do you think it would give the guardians it's powers and secrets if it was evil.
-
Shut up.
-
Cough where did you get this idea from :P
-
I've thought about that, But the story couldn't progress.
