Sure, humans have poached that animal and destroyed their natural habitat, but we did our damage and now pay the price. Even if we let them out into the wild, that animal would die from being nurtured by humans and will get killed off in the wild.
Thoughts?

With natural selection, perhapse since those animals can't adapt to live with us, it's only the course of nature that they die off, isn't it?
-
No. Neither is there a point to killing them either.
-
Humans are destroying the earth. Get used to it, we don't fit in here.
-
Because it's a good thing to do.
-
No, better eat the lions whilst theres still enough for a decent burger
-
If the Librarian hadn't saved some of our specimen in Halo, we wouldn't have played Halo. Not as humans at least. Lol.
-
Every living thing serves a purpose in the environment, whether it is important globally, or within its own ecosystem.
-
I think we might as well. Even if they aren't vital to their ecosystems I think keeping then around would be best.
-
I think we should do our best to keep them alive... and protect their natural place in the world.
-
Basically keeping balances in the ecosystem. It's like you have never seen "Biodome"
-
You're assuming that we just hand feed them and dump them into the wild like that.
-
Them tags

Without some keystone species, entire ecosystems could fall apart :c Like the ordeal with sea otters off of the west coast of the US. Fewer sea otters > More kelp > overgrowth of kelp > taking nutrients from other species > other species in turn go extinct > etc.
-
Yes. Medicinal purposes, is the one that comes to mind the quickest. I know there were some other reasons, but biodiversity is a good thing.

Be a shame to loose em
