I don't. I leave it plugged in, but I keep a piece of cardboard over the camera. When I first got it, I had a little bit of Jedi fun with it to test out it's features, but it got old after the second day. I don't even talk to it anymore. I prefer to use my controller for everything as I've always done.
Why did M$ force me to buy this thing? I bought the PS4 camera by choice, and it seems to do everything the Kinect does anyways, but I was at least more entertained by that robots in my living room game. I really don't care for either camera now. Do you? At least I could return my PS4 camera if I wanted to, but I'm stuck with my Kinect.
Your thoughts?

Actually, I use it all the time. I'm not sure that there's an App on the One that I don't have multiple uses for the Kinect. It's become pretty damn handy this gen.

It sounds like you and your Kinect need some relationship counselling. Plugging it and covering with cardboard just sounds down right kinky. Not talking is a big no no, communication is essential to the good health and wellbeing of all relationships. You can't control your Kinect, you must let it be - to find its own way in the world. Kinect love takes time, respect, and perfect pronounciation. You should never yell at it, or continually repeat yourself, nor jump around waving your arms. Stop comparing it to others, the grass is never greener on the other side. You should not think of yourself being stuck and/or trapped in this relationship. Rather you should see this as an opportunity, an opportunity to put yourself out there, to let others see the real you. You knew what you were getting into before you got involved, now its time to man up and face your responsibilities.

Yes. All the time actually. It really does a good job at keeping the door to my room open since it always closes itself when the heat is on.

Drink in one hand food in the other... >xbox on >xbox play netflix >xbox select >xbox play 1 Helloooo breaking bad #worthit
-
Yes I do, its wonderfully awesome
-
Constantly. And so does my wife. Even my 1 1/2 year old daughter thinks the TV is called Xbox lol.
-
>Xbox join skype call >xbox snap dvr >xbox record that >xbox home >xbox youtube > my subscriptions >Xbox play titanfall And i havent even picked up my controller yet
-
but I keep a piece of cardboard over the camera.
Do you also wear a tinfoil hat to keep that evil government out of your head?
-
I haven't had it plugged in for a while now. It works fine, but I wasn't using it enough to bother having it set up.
-
I use it for voice commands while playing. Pretty handy. Find nearest repair bay on NFS and stuff like that. When a good game comes out I'll probably get that too for the kids we take care of.
-
The kinect is not the same as the eye. Kinect follows u around can see in dark and better voice commands
-
Kinect? Pfff. Never touch the stuff.
-
Well I spent money on it your damn straight I'm going to use it.

Edited by CHAN THE GOD: 2/19/2014 12:01:13 PMMicrosoft are -blam!-ing forceful. Making us pay more money for Xbox One console and kinect, even though those products aren't sold separately.

Voice commands are awesome. My xbox one is ready to go before I can sit down when I enter the room. "Xbox, on!"
-
I use the voice commands all the time. In fact I feel that it's been making me more lazy than usual.
-
I enjoy it. I usually use it if I just want to kick back and go on a Netflix binge, and open apps with it, such as Skype (1080p Skype calls are great, too) So yeah, I find it valuable.
-
I leave it unplugged
-
I use it mostly for the voice commands or when I have friends over and still want to talk online. I keep it right up against the front of my Xbox facing the console when I'm not using it.
-
I use mine all the time. It makes the UI much easier to navigate.
-
I use it everyday. Why do you have a piece of cardboard over the camera? Despite what people say the government doesn't give a shit about what you are doing
-
Only for voice commands. My room is really small, so the camera has a hard time figuring out what's going on.
-
I actually use it a lot. Just today i was being lazy and couldnt find my xbox controller so i did everything by voice untill i actually played. Xbox record that is invaluable Somtimes the user interface is so damn confusing that its easier to jut ask for what you want.
-
Mostly just the record feature.
-
Voice commands mostly... "Xbox, turn off... yes"
