Title: Permalinks to Thread Replies starts you off too low
Description: This is a "Bug" I've found while experimenting with methods to get around the 10,000 characters per individual post limit when writing especially large threads. My latest method uses permalinks to "daisy-chain" every section of the original post together so that readers can have a clean read no matter how the thread gets replied to (as post order is not naturally preserved when viewing a thread through "Popular" Comment Sort). Here is an example thread of mine which does the aforementioned daisy-chaining.
This method is especially nice because while the original post is included in every permalinked repy, my browser automatically "jumps" me down to the start of the reply so I don't have to do any scrolling before reading.
...Or at least it should. It doesn't work out so well for Replies to threads as opposed to Sub-Replies and Original Posts.
Repro Steps:
1) Click this permalink to go to a thread reply. Observe that the Username / Avatar and part of the picture of the reply is cut off by the top menu bar.
2) Click this permalink to go to a sub-reply in a thread. Observe that the Username / Avatar is not cut off because the browser drops you off so that there is ample room between the top menu bar and the start of the post.
Result: Permalinks to thread replies start off scrolled down "too low", making it hard to get right into reading the post without additional scrolling.
Expected Result: Permalinks to thread replies should give you ample room between the "menu bar" and the start of the post so that it's a nicer flow.
Notes: This is pretty damn minor, but it's a inconsistancy, and as ever, they bother me. Halp!
OS: Windows 7
Browser: Internet Explorer 11
Are you running add-ons/plug-ins?: Nope
Dark/Light Theme?: Dark theme master race.
Thanks!
