Considering the fact that these are prequels to great original trilogies, which prequels were better? I personally think the Hobbit, but that's just me. Since the third Hobbit film isn't out yet, then I have to leave out Revenge of the Sith.

The Hobbit has Martin Freeman and Benedict Cumberbatch The Phantom Menace has Liam Neeson... I give it to the hobbit
-
The prequels were terrible. Ugh. The Hobbit wins by 10 miles. No, actually 100,000 miles.
-
The Hobbit is adapted from a book that was written before the mains. Kind of unfair advantage.
-
I love Star Wars, but dont get me started on those -blam!-ing prequels.
-
The Hobbit is the original though. LOTR is it's loosely tied sequel.

Edited by Maverick: 3/3/2014 6:02:23 AMI would have to say the two Hobbit movies are pretty objectively superior to the first two prequels. But I also have to say that the Hobbit movies have been pretty disappointing to me and I loved the prequels when I was a kid, so subjectively it's a bit of a toss-up.

Edited by Falchion: 2/14/2014 4:26:43 AMThe hobbit has more of a interesting story for me :/

Revenge of the Sith was great

Since I believe The Phantom Menace was the lamest of the whole saga, I'll have to choose the Hobbit. I still like the prequels though.
