A few days ago there was a Naruto thread on /a/. Anyone who goes to /a/ for even a few minutes knows that Naruto is normally not welcome on /a/. However there appeared to be actual discussion of the latest chapter. So I posted:
"Wow, did /a/ finally stop throwing it's childish temper-tantrum and actually let anime & manga discussion on an anime & manga image board?"
Around the same time I posted that, Dub Spammers and other ass holes came into the thread and started spamming the thread to kingdom come. So I started lurking around and have been doing so for the last few days.
4chan doesn't prohibit you from lurking when you're banned, but they don't really give you any notification of the ban unless you post (much like here except you actually get notified when you are banned). So I tried posting in a thread on /cgl/ and I just learned that I've been banned from posting on 4chan for "Trolling outside of /b/" over that post in the Naruto thread.
I'm a bit annoyed, what I said wasn't far from the truth at all, and the proof is in that very thread considering it started to get spammed after I posted that, so I don't know how it was trolling when the thing I actually mentioned happened.
Anyways, the ban actually lifts tomorrow at around 2:00PM, do you guys think I should appeal it or just wait until it lifts? I doubt I'll post much in between (especially on /a/, I browse /a/ once in a Blue Moon) but I do enjoy posting in /cgl/. What do you guys think?

The thread still there? Can't find it. Want to see it for the lulz.

This is why I only post on /b/

4chan is such a goddamn shithole. There are only two places I've been banned more times than I can count (or banned from at all for that matter, besides TheTechGame.com), and they are Bungie.net and 4chan. Boards like /a/ and /v/ are the absolute worst, with /tv/ and /sp/ coming in close second. You can get banned for stupid shit like telling animoo shitposters to -blam!- off, or telling a Sonydrone to go back to NeoGAF. Really stupid shit that, on 4chan, is not supposed to be considered "rule-violating". Your ban is pretty damn bad OP, so I would just reset my IP and move on. The moderators there are almost as terrible as the ones here. Not much can be done. I've reset my IP so many times that I ran out of IPs within my fourth octet.

You can get banned on 4chan?

That was you?

Wait it out, I had longer bans for more stupider shit then that
