She is only 16, not legally an adult so can it really be called child porn? I don't think that 16 year olds should be posting nudes on twitter, but do you think that juvenile is the best option for her?
Give your thoughts.

>getting jail time >for sexualizing yourself I don't see how this is even remotely just.
-
I think this shit is so stupid... First of all 16-18 is not a significant change, on top of that getting charged with taking a picture of yourself is just utter horse shit no matter how you look at it. Don't even bother trying to change my mind. It's absurd and you know it.

Edited by IchEsseKinder: 2/8/2014 2:03:40 AM>virginia >james city county -blam!- YEAH, HAMPTON ROADS IS RELEVANT WITH INTERNATIONAL NEWS! But pornography is a form of media (pictures, movies, etc) which it's purpose is to promote sexual arousal. By that logic, couldn't pictures of people (especially teens) in swim suits be classified as pornography as well?
-
Pics or didn't happ... Never mind...
-
So I can go to jail for having a picture of myself in a bathtub as a baby? Might as well lock up every parent and/or kid in the history of the world.
-
Child Porn laws haven't caught up to 2014, with teenagers sexting each other. It definitely needs to be looked at. And yes. I have.
-
It'll only get worse as our generation gets older...
-
Is it unfair? Maybe. Do examples need to be made? Yes. Are teenage girls incredibly stupid? Yes.
-
Kids these days.
-
law is designed to stop minors being taken advantage of, not to stop them posting theirselves. By all means arrest anybody else with the images, but the girl who took them? Surely she can take photos of herself without prosecution
-
She just needs to get a good lawyer. This case is ridiculous in every sense of the word.
-
I bet the popo was fapping to this in the office

A guy in my High School was arrested for having nude pictures of his 17 year old GF on his phone and he was 18. So now he's a sex offender. Child porn laws are kind of messed up.
-
who cares.

Unless she was doing something sexual in them I don't see why it's child porn. It's legal to have nudist children on the internet so I don't see what the difference between her photos and those photos are. Not going to lie, but those child porn laws and the whole sex offender thing is really messed up. You can have sex with a 16 year old and see each other naked, but it's wrong to have pictures of them. Some guy a few decades ago became a sex offender because he had sex with is girlfriend 2 weeks before her 16th birthday. Then there's that comment in here were some kid at school became a sex offender because he's 18 and had pics of his 17 year old girlfriend on his phone. Really with the way these laws are set up they're doing more harm than good.

16 is legal in the UK. For sex not porn. Because state logic.
-
She's being arrested on a technicality, that she technically has broken the law. This case requires more logical thinking, because really she doesn't deserve to be punished here.
-
This has happened many times before. The laws regarding Cp are all sorts of messed up and need to be revised.
-
Some kid in my school posted nudes on his twitter and my school suspended him and they didn't arrest him for some reason and the girl was under 18.
-
Authorities received an anonymous tip describing the photos
I bet whoever described them could do it easily. No'm saying?
-
TIL it's illegal to take photos of yourself in Virginia.
-
Oh wait, I was just about to post that picture of me...
-
I don't know why but I was expecting to see the pictures in the article lol This reminds me of some kids in Spain posted to videos on Instagram of them -blam!-ing and one of her blowing him. And they're all proud that it's managed nation wide recognition.
-
I think that's hilarious.
