Don't know the titles in your first post, but... well, if you just want general recommendations, stating what kinds of books you already like might be a good start. Without that base though, all I can do is recommend my favorite. In my case, I recommend Wheel of Time- book one being titled 'The Eye of the World' by Robert Jordan. WoT is the single greatest book series written in all of time, and I cannot possibly let a book thread go past without talking about it simply due to obligation for how great it is. The following of the book is sort of like a cult following, but that's not because few people like it- it's because few people know about it (despite the fact that pretty much every book has been a best seller). I'd look into it if I were you- it's in the Fantasy Genre.
