Featured video is RainyMood.
The slightly famous App (now in video form) of the sound of a thunder storm.
A lot of times we find ourselves stressed at home with little comfort to ease that. Some of you may have already developed techniques to get your mind off of things that bother you but for those that haven't, or if you need a little extra, there are sound files and music to help with that.

This song helps calm my mind and stir inspiration inside of me. My all time favorite piece of music.
What helps you unwind?

Edited by Jornn_: 5/9/2014 2:20:05 AMGenerally I'll listen to someone like DJ Okawari or Nujabes. Everything they make is just so calming. I also like this girl named Sharm's work. She makes great music. Although her video tend to be a little awkward...

Working out relieves a lot of my stress. I used to work out to calm music, or fitness vloggers that I follow on YouTube.

Edited by Rhynerd: 5/9/2014 12:42:47 AMOne thing I will always love about Spiral Knights is it's soundtrack. The ready room song that starts up after you choose your character in particular is very much soothing. As it played on my personal playlist earlier today on the way home I was nearly swept away into the allure of the untold wonders of that clockwork Frankenstien's planet called Cradle. Quite a few of the songs of the family playlist are also great for those who want to just relax or relieve stress: Mary Ann Nichols by Calm Blue Sea can both soothe and invigorate, depending on how long you listen to it. Midlake's works in general are ones that I've usually found great for when you "just want to go home, and stay out of sight for a long time." Sandy by Whirr is a song I will almost always turn the volume up for, as it's ultimately a song that just washes you away only to leave you on the shore smiling once it's over (which is usually the part where you play it again). None of the videos on mobile for Secret Smile by Semisonic give the full experience it's given me when I was bluesin' and losin' justice. I Know It (I Feel It Too) by The Soil & The Sun is both entrancing and inspiring. David Gilmour (live) London Crawling by Rialto for now will be the last but not least for this list. May those who decide to give these songs a listen enjoy and a wonderful day. [more to be added in... Possibly...]

The great thing about being muted by someone is that they can't see that I'm insulting them ^-^. So I can totes insult them to my hearts desire and they wont even notice ^-^. It's like dancing on your grave :D *dances a merry jig"

Also, categorizing things in my head, like running through the mechanics of a video game or tying to lay out how I'd explain the stuff I learn at school to people that have never heard of it before helps calm me down.
-
tbh I have hardly anything left anymore that helps me relax. I'm constantly on edge due to a host of things. One thing that used to make me feel absolutely care free was listening to the album above and diving into my sketchbook after having gotten really stoned. I've never been able to fully capture that feeling again, really.

This song helps me remember that more than likely nothing I'll ever do will have any kind of ultimate meaning, so I should stop worrying about shit and just do it.

Thankfully I don't get stressed anymore, mostly because anything that causes stress has taken a nice leave of absence from my world :D Instead I get boilingly psychotically angry for stupid things, I go from happy/normal to O_e in seconds, which isn't very good... I usually just listen to loud music or headbutt a door to refocus on pain rather than anger.
