I don't really see what's wrong with it.

Disease. Especially prions. You can do it if you want, it's just not a sustainable practice and over generations will kill out your genes. :)
-
Except for the part where a neurological breakdown occurs and your nervous system degenerates over time from a disease you get from eating too much of your own people.
-
Vsauce had an interesting video on this. You basically partake in self cannibalism every day; swallowing saliva, eating boogers(as a kid), etc. It also isn't illegal to eat someone else's flesh as long as they are alive and give you their permission. And it tastes similar to veal.
-
It's an evolutionary adaptation. If members of a species keep eating each other, they'd go extinct.
-
It's a crime against humanity and if somebody witnesses you doing it, they'll attack you.
-
No, i find 100% camnator burger really quite tasty, although, i suppose its not cannibalism if they're not human...

Of course it is.

It's delicious. If you raise an orphan on a diet of fear and terror, all those neurotransmitters and adrenal surges make the meat so juicy and tender...
I'm kidding of course, everyone knows that you keep the orphan alive for their tears with which you use as a dripping with the main course.
-
If it weren't for the diseases commonly contracted from it, not really. I don't see anything "morally" wrong with the practice as long as all participants are willing...you know, 'cause walking around and assaulting people for their flesh is bad, m'kay?
-
Edited by Magical Robot: 2/4/2014 6:36:12 AMSwine flu, was a result of cannibalism, as was mad cow disease. It could have long term conditions that harm more than just the consumer, and consumed. It's morally right to be safe when other peoples lives are on the line.

yes source: Leatherface

Prion diseases bro.
-
Depends if you value health stats over bad karma.
-
I support recycling.
-
It just has a stigma. I don't think it's all that bad.
-
Always wanted to try me some
BRAINS!!!!!
Ignoring the morality of the act of cannibalism (i.e. none), it also can give you kuru, which essentially is mad cow disease. So it clearly isn't good for you physically (gives you the shakes), mentally and morally.
-
Well, you have to cook it.

Edited by The Deputy: 2/3/2014 4:19:55 PMOfftopic has yet to actually disappoint me, but this came really close.

Cannibalism is punishable with death in the empire.
-
Eating your own kind is bad. Deal with it.
-
Cannibalism, in the right context isnt.

Morals, get some.
