Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods. Thoughts?
What did everyone think of the new movie? (if your a DBZ fan)

Can't imagine watching DBZ with no english dub. As of such, I am waiting for the dub.

8 RepliesThe art style was off to me, it looked a bit too clean if you know what I mean. And the Vegeta dance part was obscene, because of that I think this shit well never get an English dub. As for tye next movie, I don't think there will be one, not for a long while I guess.

It was goofy, but I liked the fights. It was the worst out of all the movies...even the second and third broly movie.

It looks like it's Kaioken without the red light beaming from him.(I know what that effect is called, but I can't spell it.) To me it should have looked more like a form than a simple effect. To me it would have looked better if it looks like the image. It looks like Goku is able to have the power of SSJ and being able to control the Oozaru forum in a more practical form. So this god form would be being able to have the max power from SSJ(By max I'm saying in this form he gets to the limit of what the form can give him. So it's beyond SSJ 3.) and their ultimate form which is the Oozaru in a form that's practical to use.

3 RepliesIt's a typical DBZ Movie. New big bad strong guy, everyone tries to fight and gets knocked down. Here comes Goku and saves the day. I WAS hoping that this movie would try to stray away from that, at least Fusion Reborn had Goku and Vegeta having to work together to beat Janemba. And honestly it would have been my favourite movie, so much potential, if they didn't ruin it with the Hitler BS.

after watching, i can tell there will surely be a squeal. the God form looked lame though. i thought it was going to that pic of him where he looks ssj4 but gold....... but it wasn't :(

11 RepliesArt style is meh. I don't like how clean everything looks. SSJ3 Goku doesn't look as badass as he did in Fusion Reborn, for example. SSJ2 Vegeta surpassing SSJ3 Goku in a rage is a bit far fetched for me. It calls into question why it's worth transforming at all if that level of power is achievable in SSJ2. Gohan should have put up a bigger fight too. SSJ God is meh. I don't like the look of it. I guess the good part of it all is that Goku kept the power up so in the future he'll only have to turn Super Saiyan (which is cooler).

It was weird seeing SSJ2 Vegeta putting up more of a fight than SSJ3 Goku. Other than that, it was pretty good.

9 RepliesGohan is easily the strongest un-fused character. He gets his butt kicked way to fast. SSJG was meh, It would look 100x better if it at least had the SSJ1 hairdo.

I know humans can't hold a candle to Sayians, but there should be more to the plot other than who can make the biggest explosion.

5 RepliesEdited by Fallen Hero: 1/31/2014 9:43:21 PMWhile the animation was excellent (though I prefer the older animation style) I wasn't really a a fan of SSJG seeing as how it is just a leaner kaioken. They completely ignored the other characters strengths too. Overall I didn't really like it.
