Fate/Stay Night ufotable airing in Fall 2014

Link to story. Along with this, we have a bunch of other news. The adaption's aim is to continue Fate/Zero's story. To do this, it isn't going to be following a single route. They are creating original content (written by Nasu) and putting it in the adaption. Saber, Rin, and Shirou are getting new clothing to make it more 'modern'. They want it to have the same atmosphere as Fate/Zero so this probably means more POVs from other Masters/Servants. I'm guessing we will see scenes that aren't in the VN directly but still happened anyway. Link to yaraon (japanese website) that has this info. I'm not sure if I'm happy about the news. It has potential, especially with Nasu on board, but I just don't want another butchering. At the same time, it could end up being amazing. A transcript of an article in TypeMoon Ace, done by some anon.
Miura: The content of Fate/Stay Night should be assembled to follow the vector introduced by Fate/Zero, we are following that logic. If we succeed things should become interesting. There is one more thing, from the time I received the post of director I decided one thing. That is to draw precisely the character who is Emiya Shirou. Shirou who is incomplete as a magician and doesn't possess any worthwile talent in the first stage of the story, adding to that Saber who is tied to an incomplete summoning, who doesn't receive enough mana and who can't fight at full strength. Despite this while claiming to Saber "Women shouldn't fights", he still throw himself in the frontine. Drawing him like this could make him a very annoying character with one wrong move. But playing the original game I realized he wasn't just an idiot who wanted to become a hero, but someone who's heart is warped somewhere. Why did he become this way, by understanding and despiting this I'm sure he could become a very attractive protagonist.
• Someone on /a/ translated a piece of one of the articles yesterday, figured I would post it. Shirou can really easily look like a stupid character, when in reality he is more complex than that, and the fact that the director understands that is good. DEEN did a -blam!-ing horrible of explaining him. Also kinda sounds like it might be Fate, which kinda sucks.

  • I'm betting it'll be an original route with stuff from all three routes put in. Since Nasu is pretty much writing the script I have hopes for it unlike the DEEN adaptation which did its own thing without consulting anyone who created the original VN.

  • "same atmosphere as Fate/Zero" OHGAWDYES I hope they make it as an adult anime like Fate/Zero, with little to no fan service and keep the darker tone that F/Z had.

Also I'm not completely sure if it is a completely new route or what. I think so far all we know is that the there will be original content, but some have been saying that it is a completely new route (which is most likely wrong). We won't know until later what the actual route is. As for the original content, like I said, it will probably be stuff that happened in the VN but wasn't shown.
Bazett's death, Caster killing her Master, Berserker with Ilya in the winter forest, the summoning of the other Servants, etc. If they want it to be more like Fate/Zero they will add this stuff in to give depth to the other Masters/Servants.
• Ohh. Interesting. I really liked F/Z but never watched Stay Night because I was advised against it.
